Merson reckons Liverpool will be prioritising other competitions ahead of the Carabao Cup.
“I’m going to go Leicester to win this,” he said on Sky Sports.
“Yeah I’m going to go Leicester at home.
“I think with Liverpool being in the Champions League and still fighting for the top four and Premier League, yeah I think Leicester at home.
“They are going to miss (Jamie) Vardy.
“But I’ve just seen the teams come up, Liverpool’s team, and I think Leicester will cause them problems.”
