For anyone who is a fan of classic Nintendo games, the next 12 months are looking rosy indeed.
Not only will we see the launch of the new Nintendo Switch Online service, but the Japanese games giant have also confirmed further plans for their back catalogue.
The new online subscription service will allow Switch owners to download a compilation of classic titles with added online play, such as Super Mario Bros. 3, Balloon Fight and Dr. Mario.
This will be arriving in early 2018 but will be preceded by another project.
Nintendo recently announced that they will be re-releasing some of their classic arcade games that have yet to be ported to consoles.

Others, like VS. Super Mario Bros., VS. Balloon Fight, VS. Ice Climber, VS. Pinball and VS. Clu Clu Land, are coming soon.
According to Nintendo, these arcade games contain subtle differences that can’t be found in their NES counterparts.
So with all these new classic games coming in the next 12 months, what’s the best plan of action for any die-hard fan?
Build a Switch arcade cabinet, of course.
With the power of 3D printers, a new design for a nifty enclosure for the Nintendo Switch has been shared.
The cool-looking mini-arcade cabinet doubles as a cooling stand and is available to download for free on Thingiverse.
Those who want to make it more than just a place to put their Nintendo Switch can also add a charging port, with creator “ConcaveChest” providing a list of all pieces needed to achieve this.
The only downside is you need to find someone with a 3D printer, but those dedicated souls out there will have plenty of time to do that before they have a console full of cool arcade games.
“I printed this using a Makerbot Replicator 2. the build platform is 11.2″L x 6.1″W x 6″H. I required most of that space (except the height), particularly for the sides,” the creator confirmed.
Other users have also confirmed that smaller printers can be used, with a bit of extra handy work.
“It can be printed on the Anet A8 as long as you rotate the parts in the right way. I am printing it now, will update with pics once I am done with the print,” one user commented.
“You can print it on an Anet A8, you just have to rotate the sides to a 45 deg angle on the build plate and stand them on the back end.”
