Xbox One X vs PS4 Pro: Microsoft fans FINALLY get the games news they’ve been waiting for

X fans have been given the they’ve been waiting for.

Ahead of the console’s November release date, one developer believes that the differences between the Xbox One X and Pro are big, and that we should notice the difference in graphical quality with the bigger titles.

BetaDwarf CEO Steffen Kabbelgaard said (via Gamingbolt): “The strength of the Xbox One X is surprisingly big, which logically would mean that the games on the Xbox One would look at lot better than the PS4.

“Chances are that developers that want to go to the limit will edge more towards the Xbox One X because of the relative ease of porting to PC and the other way around with the UWP.

“The main thing that would keep cutting edge developers away from the Xbox One X would be backwards compatibility, with the original Xbox One being a lot weaker. Then again, the same goes for PS4.”

Crucially, however, Kabbelgaard said that we probably won’t notice much difference between the smaller games, but triple-A blockbusters are a different matter altogether.

“Generally,  for smaller games the difference will not really matter, but for the big AAA games I do expect a higher, more stable framerate on the Xbox One X, and most likely more games that will be able to run true 4K.”

The only thing holding the Xbox One X back is if some studios decide not to take advantage of the console’s power.

This is kind of what happened with Destiny 2, which will stick to 30 frames-per-second on Xbox One X, even though the console should be able to handle 60 frames-per-second.

Microsoft’s impressive new console has a CPU that is 30% faster than that of the original Xbox One, while the GPU is 4.6 times more powerful than its predecessor.

Interestingly, the 8GB of memory – which is up from the 5GB found in the original Xbox One – allows the console to process art assets, making it easier to run 4K resolution visuals at higher speeds.
