Canelo vs GGG: Gennady Golovkin is more dangerous than Floyd Mayweather – Saul Alvarez

Canelo and Golovkin lock horns at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas tonight with the WBA, WBC, IBF and The Ring middleweight belts on the line.

The Mexican fighter has lost just one of his 51 career bouts with that defeat coming against Floyd Mayweather four years ago.

But he reckons GGG, who like Mayweather is unbeaten, will be his toughest opponent yet.

However, he insists he is ready to take it to the Kazakhstani fighter as he bids to end his 37-match winning streak.

“This fight has the same magnitude as my Mayweather fight or even more so, yet it’s completely different because of our styles,” he told the Telegraph

“This is a fight the people have waited for a long time, and I think it’s of the same calibre and quality.

“But I have more experience now, I’m more complete as a fighter, more confident in the ring.

“Golovkin has the style to force the best out of you. He’s the most dangerous fighter I’ve faced.

“He comes out looking to end his opponents early. But he will have to take my punches too.

“This will be a brutal, vicious fight, and I’m ready.”
