Victoria’s Secret 2017: How to get body of a VS Angel with five simple TRICKS

A personal trainer who works with a host of the Victoria’s Secret models has shared the inside tricks used on the women.

Kirk Myers, based in New York, owns Dogpound, a gym in which he trains Josephine Skriver, Martha Hunt, Elsa Hosk and Jasmine Tookes, among others

Speaking about working with Myers, Josephine Skriver said: “It’s the first gym we’ve had with the opportunity to work out alone and also bring it in as a team sport. You’re kind of competing with everyone around you, everybody is giving you tips.”

And now Myers has revealed the five simple tricks he uses to really ensure the models see results – and all of them are easy to recreate at home.

Don’t use a set of scales

Explaining why, Myers told US Elle: “For the most part, the thing is it becomes a big mind game. And your body weight can vary three to five pounds, depending on what you ate the night before, if you went to the bathroom, if you took a shower, what time of the day you weighed, what scale you used.

“A lot of the girls that we train started to do more weight training.

“Muscle weighs more than fat. So you may add weight even though you are going to look a lot better.”

You CAN spot train

Myers revealed: “Someone like Josephine, she likes to do weight training so she specifically likes to do legs and butt really hard with heavy weights.”

Use ankle weights

Adding ankle weights during donkey kicks and fire hydrants will boost results.

Myers said: “It makes it more challenging. You can also use pulses in it.”

Don’t be afraid of bulking up

Myers said the fear women will become very muscular is unfounded, as it is hard for women to add muscle.

Add balance training

Myers revealed he makes his clients do sumo squats and dead lifts on a Bosu ball.

This is because it boosts results on the core, a more difficult part of the body to trim down.
