Dead by Daylight Leatherface UPDATE: New perks following Xbox One and PS4 news

Developers Behaviour Interactive have launched a brand new chapter for the game, this one adding the Dead By Daylight Leatherface perks and character.

The new Leatherface perks have also been confirmed, containing some pretty eye-catching abilities:

KNOCK OUT: The trauma caused by your brutal attacks makes crying for help painfully difficult. Dying survivors’ auras are not revealed to other survivors when they are standing out of range.

BARBECUE & CHILI: A deep bond with The Entity unlocks potential in one’s aura reading ability. After hooking a Survivor, all other Survivors’ aura are revealed to you for 3 seconds when they are further than 36 meters from the hook. Grants bonus Bloodpoints on any scoring event while a Survivor is on the hook.

FRANKLIN’S DEMISE: Your vicious attacks make the Survivors drop their item on impact. The lost item is damaged in the fall, losing a portion of its base amount of charges.

The new Dead By Daylight update is currently only available to buy on Steam, although it should be making its way to PS4 and Xbox One quite soon.

The development team haven’t confirmed how long the wait could be on consoles, although those interested in trying out the game have a big boost this weekend.

Dead by Daylight will be free to play all weekend long to anyone who is interested in trying to outlast a killer’s rampage.

The online horror title is available to download now and will be available to play until Sunday, September 17 on Xbox and Steam.

It will take around 10GBs to download and is also available for a discounted price during the weekend freeplay event.

“Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer (4vs1) horror game where one player takes on the role of the savage Killer, and the other four players play as Survivors, trying to escape the Killer and avoid being caught, tortured and killed.

“Survivors play in third-person and have the advantage of better situational awareness. The Killer plays in first-person and is more focused on their prey.

“The Survivors’ goal in each encounter is to escape the Killing Ground without getting caught by the Killer – something that sounds easier than it is, especially when the environment changes every time you play.”

This offer is available on PS4, Xbox One and PC, although each has a slightly differing release and end date.

The free Dead By Daylight trial is becoming available today and will end on Monday, September 18.
