Blade Runner 2048 Nowhere To Run is directed by Luke Scott.
Although he is not the main director of the Blade Runner 2049 blockbuster, he has the pedigree, since his father is Ridley Scott, the man who created the film franchise back in 1982.
The new prequel follows Bautista’s Sapper Morton in the seedy underbelly of our post-apocalyptic future. As always, the visuals are spectacular, but it is Bautista’s performance that is a revelation.

His character may look like a WWE wrestler of the future but he wears glasses, collects books and befriends little girls. The mini movie introduces us to the future of our planet one year before the main action of the full-length sequel.
Bautista already displayed a touching sensitivity as Drax but this takes the 48-year-old to a whole new level.
The dramatic short film is the second in a sequence that will be released before the main film in October.
Luke Scott who also helmed the first one, 2049: Nexus Dawn, which took a closer look at Jared Leto’s sinister Niander Wallace.
Blade Runner 2049 is set 30 years after the events of the original. Ryan Gosling’s K is an LAPD officer who starts to realise noting is what it seems and tracks down the original doubter, Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), after uncovering a potentially explosive secret which could bring down what’s left of human civilisation.
Blade Runner 2049 is out in cinemas on October 6
