There’s a big night of European football ahead as Arsenal face FC Koln in the first match of Europa League group stages.

The London club, who begin their campaign at home tonight, have had a mixed start to the season losing two of their opening four games.

The match gets underway at 8:05pm from Emirates Stadium with the home side hungry for a win.

Speaking to Aresnal.com Wenger spoke about whether his ego is hurt by playing in the Europa League, saying: “No. The disappointment for not finishing in the top four was there, of course, but unfortunately we were one point short.

“We made 75 points last year and overall I am humble enough to be happy enough to win every single competition [including the Europa League].

“Winning this is not our best chance of Champions League but it is one of the opportunities. The best way is through the Premier League. But this is a different competition and we want to win every competition we play in.”
