Destiny 2 Nightfall ticket arrives: How to use update on Inverted Spire following unlock

Bungie’s weekly reset has been and gone, providing Destiny 2 Nightfall fans with a new Strike.

All those details can be found below, however, there’s one big change that fans will want to know about.

Destiny 2 Nightfall tickets are now active and will allow for solo players to run the gauntlet a little easier.

The beta version of Guided Games was part of a new Bungie update that has been activated, allowing PS4 and Xbox One players a form of matchmaking.

Essentially GG gives solo players the chance of meeting a Clan Fireteam to guide them through select end game activities

Guided Games will be in a limited-access Beta for the Nightfall activity from September 12, 2017 through September 26, 2017:

  • During the Guided Games Beta, all Clans will be eligible to join a Guided Game as a Guide.
  • A percentage of players will be given tickets to join a Guided Game as a Seeker.
  • September 26, 2017 is the targeted release date of Guided Games for all players for the Raid and Nightfall activities.

As confirmed by Bungie, players can enter Guided Games as either a Seeker or a Guide, with each role having different entry requirements.

Seeker

  • Players can enter a Guided Game as a Seeker if they meet the Character level, Power level, and other entry requirements listed on the activity tooltip.
  • Players can be Seekers regardless of their Clan status.
  • Players must have at least one Guided Game Ticket for the desired activity to join as a Seeker.
  • Seeker Tickets for Guided Games refresh at the Seasonal Reset.

Guide

  • Players can enter a Guided Game as part of a Guide Fireteam if they meet the Character level, Power level, and other entry requirements listed on the activity tooltip.
  • If a Clan wishes to host a Guided Game, half of the Guide Fireteam must be composed of members from the same Clan (i.e. 3 and 4 player Fireteams must have at least 2 Clan members; a 6 player Fireteam must have at least 3 Clan Members).
  • Guide Fireteams that meet the above Clan requirements can also include players that are not a part of the hosting Clan.

It should be noted that during the Guided Game beta, only a subset of players received Guided Game tickets at the Postmaster which are needed to queue as a Seeker.

So while you may miss out on being a Seeker during this period, it appears that everyone can try out being a Guide.

The Inverted Spire is this week’s challenge, coming with it’s own unique modifiers and rewards.

Some players may remember it from the beta, although this time round it comes with these challenges:

  • Speed Of Dark: Complete the Nightfall with at least 5 minutes remaining.
  • Unbroken: Complete the Nightfall with fewer than 3 deaths.
  • The Floor Is Lava: As a fireteam, do not get hit by Protheon’s fiery ground attack before defeating it.

As many will now know, Nightfall Strikes are end game versions of regular Vanguard Strikes, where players contend with special modifiers which enhance the difficulty of this Strike activity.

Like last week, the Power recommendation is 240, with fans being provided with a full week to squeeze everything they can from it.

The modifiers have been confirmed as:

  • Timewarp: In-game rings increase time limit by jumping through them.
  • Prism: Elements are rotated during the Strike, changing the damage you do when using that element.
