Local media has reported officers raced to the scene before taking the suspect’s life.
The incident took place at a home in Plano, Texas, on Sunday evening.
A police officer stormed the building after hearing shots, taking out the suspect and finding two more people wounded.
Officer David Tilley said: “He actually heard gunshots and that’s when he made entry into the house.
“That’s when he observed several victims inside then engaged the suspect. And that’s when he shot him,”
All of the victims are believed to be adults, while no officers were harmed in the incident.
