Sky Sports pundit Danny Higginbotham: Man Utd are such a different team from last season

Manchester United travel to the Bet365 Stadium to face Mark Hughes’s Stoke (5.30pm).

Jose Mourinho’s side have won their opening three games against West Ham, Swansea and Leicester, scoring 10 goals and conceding none.

Last season United struggled against the lesser teams in the Premier League, which ultimately lead them to a disappointing sixth placed finish.

But Higginbotham, who played for both Stoke and United, says the Red Devils are now a different team and reckons they will overcome a more aesthetically pleasing Potters.

“Manchester United, perfect start, 10 goals scored, none conceded,” he said on Sky Sports.

“A very different team from last season.

“They’ll go to Stoke, Stoke not the physical team they use to be.

“They like to get the ball down and play now.

“Still afraid whether they will score enough goals, had a great result against Arsenal.

“I just think the way Manchester United are playing at the moment, I think they will have too much for Stoke City.

“I’m going for a Manchester United win.”

Stoke could hand a debut to new signing Kevin Wimmer.
