Stephen King fans who have already read the 1986 book will know what’s going on but, for those who haven’t, this is what that ending means.

Incredibly, the end of the IT movie seems to show the Losers Club kill Pennywise.
Just as audiences finally start to relax, though, the end screen reads ‘Chapter One.’ Well, it all seemed a little too easy. The story is definitely not over.

Readers of the novel will know that the Losers Club figured out that the attacks happen every 27 years. The kids make a pledge that if they hear about more killings after that time has passed again, they will all return home from wherever they are and finish the job.
IT director Andres Muschietti has already revealed that the sequel is his “first priority.” Given the huge advance interest and spectacular early box office, he also coomented that he was ure it woudl have an even bigger budget.
