Three DOWN – 3 mobile network not working for hundreds of users

Three is down with customers of the 3 mobile network across the UK saying the service is not working for them, according to Down Detector.

Hundreds of Three customers have reported issues with services provided by the major telecommunications firm.

Independent website Down Detector registered a peak of 1,114 Three customers experiencing issues with the service.

Of those Three customers who the outage monitor received reports from, more than a third (36 per cent) do not have a signal.

While 33 per cent are experiencing issues with their mobile phone in general and 30 per cent experiencing issues with mobile internet.

Independent website Down Detector measures social mentions around a certain topic to track outages across the globe.

According to their outage map, customers across the UK are experiencing issues with the Three service this afternoon.

The ThreeUKSupport Twitter account has been responding to customers wondering what the issue is with the service and when it will be resolved.

Replying to one customer, they said: “We’re aware of an issue that some customers are having with accessing data.

“Our team are working hard to resolve this ASAP. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.”

Three customers have taken to social media site Twitter to report issues with the service this afternoon.

One person tweeted: “@ThreeUKSupport Got no data network at all right now, when I call 333 I get a message saying you can’t handle my call. What’s going on?”

While another said: “@ThreeUKSupport No internet in Canary Wharf and Bank too. What’s going on?”

And one posted: “@ThreeUKSupport 4G networks seem to be down in Bristol, is working now I’ve turned 4G off (and am on 3G) – any thoughts?”

Express.co.uk have contacted Three for comment about the issues customers have been experiencing today.

This isn’t the first time this year that the Three mobile network has experienced issues.

In April users across the UK complained that they weren’t able to make calls or send texts via the service.

The outage came days after the news that Three was putting up its prices.

The UK network began messaging customers in April that costs were increasing in 2017.

One text received by a Three customer read: “Hi, you may remember that we review your price each year in line with RPI. In May your price will increase by 2.6%.”

With that outage, Down Detector received reports from thousands of Three customers experiencing issues with the service.

Users across the UK are complained that they couldn’t make calls or send texts via the service.
