Back To The Future 4: Could Marty McFly and Doc Brown RETURN for one more film?

In fact, writer Bob Gale went on the record as saying quite clearly that he has no intention to revive the franchise for a Part IV.

Still, however, demand has been relentless.

Christopher Lloyd even said earlier this year that he would “love” to reprise the role of the Doc, saying: “I can’t see doing another sequel without [Michael J Fox].

“I would certainly want Bob Zemeckis directing it, Bob Gale writing it and the other principals being involved.”

But what do you think – should the team make another movie, or let the original trilogy exist undisturbed?

Have your say in the poll below.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Lloyd added in June: “It’s hard to replace Marty. Michael J Fox was so wonderful in the role. He’s just so great to see.

“He’s just so warm and smart and has such courage coping with the Parkinson’s.

“He’s indomitable. He’s just great to be around.”

Zemeckis directed all three of the original Back To The Future movies, although the worldwide grosses of the trilogy steadily declined with each movie.

Still, they were consistently impressive throughout: the first film grabbed $389 million globally, while the third made $244 million.
