August was a hectic month for ARK Survival Evolved on PS4 and Xbox One.
Not only did fans see the game leave early access but they also saw the release of the new Ragnarok mod.
Much like the base game, Ragnarok is set to see a range of new updates that will bring new areas and monsters to the map.
Ragnarok has proven very popular with fans on PC but is likely to be overshadowed somewhat by the reveal of Studio Wildcard’s latest expansion.
Arriving in October 2017, ARK Survival Evolved Aberration will see players get access to a new ARK, much different from the one they currently know.
This new adventure will place survivors on a damaged ARK whose internal atmosphere has leaked away, resulting in a harsh surface with intense radiation and a plethora of lush underground biomes containing all-new exotic creatures and items to be acquired.

Aberration is actually the second Expansion Pack for ARK: Survival Evolved, joining the desert-themed Scorched Earth map, which released while the game was still in early access.
Wildcard have confirmed that the Aberration expansion will be available as a standalone expansion pack ($19.99) and as part of the ARK: Explorer’s Edition (Season Pass).
Owners of ARK: Explorer’s Edition will get exclusive in-game Aberration-themed cosmetic item skins, immediately on Steam and in the coming days on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Thrive by gathering new resources, using fishing baskets, gas collectors, fortify your home within the caverns using cliff structures, and much more!
