Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA 5 release followed by this returning Rockstar franchise?

There have been reports over what could follow GTA 5 Online and Red Dead Redemption 2 as Rockstar’s next big gaming project.

Hopes were sparked that GTA 6 could be in the works following an admissions on a recent, however this turned out to be a hoax.

There has even alleged concept art for one of the studio’s oldest running projects, Agent, appearing online.

However, if the most recent reports are to be believed, Rockstar will not be focusing on any of these franchise.

Instead, the distinguished developer will be turning their attentions to Bully 2.

Game Zone reports that they have spoken to a source who confirms that a sequel in the franchise has been in the works for sometime.

They also claim that it will be big the gaming project announced by Rockstar, following the release of Red Dead Redemption 2 in 2018.

According to the source in question, recent concept art leaks connected with Bully 2 is legitimate.

However, there was no further evidence or suggestions for when the project could be announced, or if it would be coming to PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

This isn’t the first talk of a Bully sequel being in the works.

A leaker connected with GTA Online has revealed that Bully is in development and will be the next big release, following the launch of Red Dead Redemption 2.

Yan2295 posted the news on a popular Rockstar forum, adding: “Bully 2 is indeed in development and is supposed to be the next game after RDR2.”

While there have been several reports indicating that Bully 2 will be announced in the future, it’s still worth taking everything we’ve told with a big pinch of salt.

Rockstar are still very much in the middle of providing new content for GTA 5 Online, as well as actively developing Red Dead Redemption 2.

The developer recently launched The GTA 5 Smuggler’s Run DLC, which sees players team up with Nervous Ron to make money as part of a new smuggling enterprise set in the sky.

Named after one of Rockstar’s PlayStation 2 hit Smuggler’s Run, the update features new missions, planes, choppers and other vehicles.

“Seems like recent events have taken their toll on Nervous Ron,” Rockstar explains.

“He’s even more on edge than usual, and looking for a new business partner to help take over his burgeoning smuggling empire in Smuggler’s Run, the next big update to GTA Online.”

A new Adversary Mode was also included, with Motor Wars mimicking much of what has made PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds a huge success.

“Blending the adrenaline rush of Drop Zone with the claustrophobic tension of a match of Penned In, this brutal Adversary Mode is a deadly scavenger hunt where second place is not an option,” Rockstar explains.

“Up to four teams parachute into a periodically shrinking kill box strewn with a lethal assortment of guns, explosives and Weaponized Vehicles. Work together, find a vehicle, and fight opposing teams and the shrinking map to survive and win.”
