‘Spin your left-wing wet dreams’ Former Trump aide lashes Channel 4 host in heated clash

Former deputy assistant to the President, Mr Gorka, told Krishnan Guru-Murthy in a heated clash that the left had “normalised violence” and many were as bad as the Ku Klux Klan.

His comments come after a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia turned violent earlier this month with aggression from left- and right-wing groups.

Donald Trump afterwards said both sides were to blame for the riots.

Speaking on Channel 4 News, Mr Gorka said: “It’s the left that have normalised violence.

“The KKK are a joke, they don’t have any place in normal political life.”

Mr Guru-Murthy challenged the former aide for failing to condemn ‘Nazis’ in the marches.

He said: “Didn’t you look at those pictures of Nazis and say to the President ‘look Mr President, you’ve got to condemn these people, you can’t say that they’re the same, there aren’t great people among these marches, these are Nazis.”

But Mr Gorka had no time for the presenter’s questioning.

He said: “Just keep spinning your left-wing wet dreams, please.” 

Asked if that was the best he had, Mr Gorka added: “No, you’re clearly not listening. There is violence on both sides of these events.

“When people come with baseball bats and urine bombs to these events, under the name of anti-fascism, I mean I’m sorry we don’t do that in a democracy.

“The KKK are just as bad as individuals on the left who come to be violent.”

Mr Trump faced a storm of criticism from Democrats and members of his own Republican Party over his initial response to violence around the rally in the Southern college town of Charlottesville.

He later explicitly condemned neo-Nazi groups.

The trouble erupted after hundreds of white nationalists converged in Charlottesville to protest plans to remove a statue of General Robert E. Lee, commander of the pro-slavery Confederate army in the US Civil War.
