FIFA 18 update: HUGE new Career Mode feature will transform Transfer Deadline Day

FIFA 18 developer EA Sports is making some exciting changes to the game’s Career Mode ahead of the release date.

In a bid to spice up player transfers and transfer deadline day, EA Sports will introduce interactive negotiations.

The real-time transfer negotiations let you speak to agents, players and managers about doing business.

With dialogue options and face-to-face negotiations, it should make transfers much more interesting and add some much needed personality to the game.

Gameplay designer Sam Rivera told Dream Team that it all starts with an approach to the club.

“Then you have the scene when you have yourself, the manager, and the player of another club,” he said. “You then start talking about the player.

“At that point, you need to negotiate with the club how much money you’re going to pay for that player.”

He continued: “Right away if you say I’m going to give £5million for a very expensive player, they will say that’s far too low. You then need to go higher or say no deal.

“Depending on your offer you may get more chances.  So, if the player is worth £50million and you offer £5m, they’ll say you are wasting their time. They react in real time to your offers.”

Other factors like sell-on clauses can be used to finally get a deal over the line.

“At that point you have to negotiate other stuff. First of all salary and then the player’s role in the team. The players will also be asking you for bonuses.

“The Sell On clause can be used to convince the club to sell a player.

“It works by agreeing with the club that they would get 15% of the value if that player is sold in the future. It will give you a much better chance of getting that player.”

Hopefully fans will be able to see more of the revamped Career Mode when the FIFA 18 demo releases in September.

And FIFA 18 fans appear to have uncovered the from the Xbox One store.

The FIFA 18 demo page is live on the Xbox Store, complete with a September 15 release date and a 7.3GB file size.

The full game has a September 29 release date on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
