Game Of Thrones may have suffered another devastating leak online

Game Of Thrones is over for another year.

Season 7 episode 7, dubbed The Dragon And The Wolf, aired over the weekend on HBO and Sky Atlantic, with the latter repeating the finale on Monday night at 9pm.

The penultimate season of the hugely-popular – with two episodes widely shared online ahead of their air date.

Scripts and other behind-the-scenes details about the seven-episode run were also published online.

And now, scripts for the final season of have purportedly been shared.

These season 8 leaks appears to have originated on notorious internet forum 4chan, before being picked up and circulated on social news site Reddit.

Entire subreddit forums have been set-up to breakdown and discuss the veracity of the Game Of Thrones scripts.

A number of users believe the leaked scripts are fake – and have gone into an astounding amount of detail about exactly why the plot developments in the alleged season 8 scripts reveal the leaks to be a sham.

Users have shared these alleged plot details and spoilers across Facebook and Tumblr, too.

The scripts for Game of Thrones season 8 were completed as of Wednesday July 26th 2017.

President of Programming at HBO, Casey Bloys revealed this at the Television Critics Association’s summer press tour.

Variety Executive TV Editor Debra Birnbaum tweeted: “No firm date yet for final season of #GameofThrones, but Casey Bloys says the scripts are written and ‘it’s a big season.’ #HBO #TCA17”

The final season of Game Of Thrones will consist of six episodes, making it the shortest to date.

However, the majority of season 8’s episodes are tipped to be feature-length.

Since the scripts have been finished, it is possible the leaks are genuine.

That said, not even the cast have seen the finished scripts yet – making it even more unlikely the documents have been obtained by hackers.

The Game Of Thrones are typically handed their scripts one month before shooting, which will likely begin in October 2017 for season 8, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays the role of Jaime Lannister, confirmed to Collider.

Reddit users have also pointed to the tone of the leaked season 8 scripts as further proof of their inauthenticity.

The style of the scripts purportedly does not match the genuine leaked season 7 scripts published by hackers earlier this summer.

It’s possible these are still early drafts, but there is also a strong possibilities the leaks are fakes.

So, if you stumble across any information about the death of key characters or the finale of the hit show – take it with a healthy pinch of salt.
