Apple Watch will soon have a new feature that will be ESSENTIAL in your everyday life

Apple Watch users could soon be getting a brand new feature that would be absolutely essential for all their fitness needs.

After scouring through the latest iOS 11 beta code, some assets have ben found that could hint at new features coming to watchOS 4.

The Apple Watch looks set to soon support virtually every workout you can think of, according to Engadget.

Sports such as football, boxing, baseball and fitness activities like core training and pilates look set to benefit from Apple Watch tracking.

Interestingly, other sports that aren’t normally supported also look set to be supported by the Apple Watch.

Activities like sailing, dancing, bowling, surfing, skiing look set to receive Apple Watch tracking support.

While these tracking features look like they’re heading to the Apple Watch, which models will benefit from it is still up in the air.

Some of these workouts are available currently to watchOS 4 beta users, while others aren’t.

It has caused some to speculate that these workouts may be limited to the new model of the Apple Watch that is expected to be unveiled next month.

Many of these activities would not require any hardware changes, so chances are Apple just isn’t ready to make these workouts available.

Apple is expected to launch a brand new Apple Watch in the coming weeks, which is likely to be part of the Apple Watch Series 3.

The new Apple Watch is also expected to be unveiled alongside the Apple iPhone 8 and a 4K Apple TV.

These products are set to be launched at a big Apple event in San Francisco, and the rumour mill is predicting a September 12 date the for the reveal.

Express.co.uk recently predicted the iPhone 8 would arrive early next month and a new rumour from Mac4ever suggests September 12 is the day Apple will reveal all.

This date has allegedly been received from telecoms companies who will clearly know the launch date in readiness for the huge surge in interest that’s expected.

Although there’s no confirmation of this date, another recent leak, posted on Twitter, suggests the iPhone will be available to buy from around September 20.

Apple usually releases its new devices a week after the launch event so these two dates do appear to match.

We should get official confirmation soon, as Apple usually sends out invites to its big announcements around two weeks before they are made.

The news about the fitness features set to be heading to the Apple Watch comes after Fitbit launched their own smartwatch.

Fitbit yesterday unveiled the Fitbit Ionic, that will be out in October and has a £299 price tag.

It boasts a lightweight aluminium case, health and fitness features, water resistance up to 50 metres and GPS tracking.

However, unlike last year’s Fitbit Blaze – which skirted the line between smartwatch and fitness band – the Ionic will have a third-party app platform.
