Xbox One X pre-order update UK: Scorpio Edition in stock at THIS shop

Xbox One X stock may be selling out fast, but there is still one shop that’s taking pre-orders in the UK.

Xbox One X fans can pre-order the Scorpio Edition from Argos ahead of the console’s November 7 release date.

The Xbox One X Project Scorpio is sold out on the Microsoft Xbox website, Amazon and Tesco Direct.

A listing on the Xbox website suggests that the Scorpio Edition is still in stock at GAME, but clicking the link reveals that it is actually sold out.

The only UK retailer with pre-order stock available for launch is Argos.

The only potential drawback is that the console isn’t available for in store click and collect.

An Argos spokesperson revealed that the retailer will have pre-order stock available until Sunday, August 27.

The  X is Microsoft’s ultra-powerful new console that’s capable of delivering true 4K visuals and increased performance.

The Scorpio Edition features a custom colour and a vertical stand that will also be sold separately.

It also has ‘Project Scorpio’ printed on the console and Xbox Wireless Controller.

The limited edition Xbox One X console comes with the same £449 price tag, and won’t be available after the release date.

The news comes as Microsoft solves the Xbox One X’s ahead of launch.

Microsoft is working on a solution that will reduce the size of your Xbox One X game downloads.

That’s according to Microsoft’s Mike Ybarra, who told GamesRadar: “On the platform side [we’re] looking at things like what we call internally Intelligent Delivery.”

Based on Ybarra’s description, Xbox One X game assets will be split between the cloud and your system. The console will essentially select what it needs and when it needs them.
