Star Wars shock: Is THIS how Anakin Skywalker is the SECRET behind Luke’s abilities?

Popular YouTube theorist Thor Skywalker has speculated in a new video that an old Holocron of Anakin ties in to Luke’s training.

Remember, Luke became very handy very quickly with the iconic weapon: he had a quick walkthrough with Obi-Wan Kenobi aboard the Millennium Falcon, and that was basically it.

Even when he was training with Yoda, the lightsaber itself barely came up.

Thor has linked his theory to Ahsoka Tano, a popular character from the animated section of the canon.

The theorist pointed to a Holocron of Anakin that she was seen with in Star Wars: Rebels, one which Ezra watches.

“For all we know, perhaps Ahsoka gave that Holocron to Ezra or he was still borrowing it when she seemingly perished,” he explained.

“There’s a strong chance she didn’t die – something Dave Filoni has pretty much confirmed.

“And something could happen to that Holocron where it finds its way to the hands of Luke.”

Elaborating, he continued: “Maybe when Ahsoka does die, Rax will be there and find the Holocron with her – he’ll recognise it for what it is and give it o Luke during their mission to Endor together.

“Remember Rax is now confirmed to be at the Battle of Endor [in Return of the Jedi] which means they very likely spoke.

“So this could have been the moment he gave the Holocron to Luke and he, for the first time, sees his father, Anakin Skywalker, as a Jedi knight.”

This would not only feed into Luke’s improved skill between Episodes 5 and 6, but also neatly ties-up him telling Vader towards the end of the movie that he still saw good in him.

So what do you think – too convoluted, or a possibility?

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is out on December 14.
