Star Wars 8: HUGE new clue Luke is NOT Rey’s father – Guess who it is?

It’s the biggest mystery in the galaxy.

Is Rey really a secret Skywalker and the hidden child and heir of Luke Skywalker?

It seems rather too obvious, plus Luke has spent most of his life (until his recent change of heart) devoting himself to the Jedi ways. One of the most important Jedi beliefs was to avoid attachments and relationships. So, when would Luke have found the opportunity to father a child?

Big new revelations about Emilia Clarke’s character from the Han Solo standalone movie set have provided a massive clue that Rey’s father was right in front of our noses, all along.

In many interviews and quotes when The Force Awakens came out, Daisy Ridley stressed how she had always assumed that the answer to Rey’s parentage was completely obvious. She was shocked audiences had any doubt at all over the matter.

Luke, however, was never the only possibility – there were two potential father figures front and centre in Episode 8. Furthermore, one of them spent much of the film acting in a particularly paternal way towards her.

The latest news from the Han Solo set has started speculation that Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke could be playing Rey’s mother – which has fanned the flames that her father is also about to be revealed.

The Game of Thrones star has been spotted on the Han Solo movie set looking noticeably similar to Princess Leia with her brown hair and a white dress.

The name of her character has finally been revealed by co-star Michael J Williams. Clarke is playing someone called Kira. Fans immediately spotted that this was the original name for Rey in early Force Awakens drafts.

Williams also told Vanity Fair that Kira and Han Solo will share a connection in the spin-off movie.

If Kira is Rey’s mother and it is extremely unlikely that Luke Skywalker will appear in the upcoming Anthology instalment, the main man himself would be the perfect fit for daddy duties.

Many fans already speculated that Han’s protective feelings towards Rey throughout The Force Awakens were sparked by paternal urges towards a daughter he may have lost or never known about. This would also make Rey and Kylo Ren siblings, which plays perfectly into the way the final Star Wars trilogy is consciously mirroring the original three films.

Unfortunately, it does not explain why Rey so easily attracted the Skywalker lightsaber.

Fans are desperately hoping the matter will be cleared up in The Last Jedi once and for all…
